SAN DIEGO, CA – May 29, 2026 – iGolf is excited to partner with BirdiLens, the golf technology company behind augmented reality golf sunglasses designed to deliver real-time course intelligence directly into a golfer’s field of view. As an iGolf Vision® & Powered® partner, BirdiLens will leverage iGolf’s course mapping and geospatial technology to support a connected ecosystem spanning AR glasses, a portable launch monitor, smartwatch, and companion mobile application.
Through the partnership, BirdiLens will integrate iGolf’s global golf course database, including GPS data for more than 40,000 courses across 177 countries, along with 3D elevation terrain and precision green mapping. This course intelligence will help power the real-time information delivered through the BirdiLens ecosystem, including GPS yardages, course maps, hazard distances, wind information, elevation adjustments, and “Plays Like” distances. By presenting this information directly through its AR glasses, BirdiLens allows golfers to access the information they need without repeatedly reaching for a phone or rangefinder.
BirdiLens represents an emerging category of golf technology where accurate course intelligence becomes part of the golfer’s immediate field of view. Its integrated ecosystem brings together augmented reality, launch monitor technology, wearable devices, and mobile software to create a more connected experience on and off the course. For technology delivering information in real time as golfers make decisions, the accuracy, depth, and global availability of the underlying course data are critical, making iGolf’s mapping infrastructure a natural foundation for the BirdiLens platform.
“Augmented reality has the potential to fundamentally change how golfers interact with course information,” said Ryan Kimberling, Vice President of Sales & Strategy at iGolf. “What makes BirdiLens particularly exciting is that they’re not simply putting another screen in front of the golfer—they’re integrating course intelligence directly into the way a golfer sees and experiences the course. We’re excited to provide the mapping, elevation, and green intelligence that helps make that experience accurate, useful, and scalable around the world.”
